Your privacy in Narumu

Sign-in and account information

Google verifies your sign-in. Narumu uses your Google account identifier to keep your account, preferences and saved conversations separate from other users. It does not request access to your Gmail, Drive or contacts. Narumu uses essential session cookies to keep you signed in for up to seven days and a short-lived cookie to secure Google sign-in.

Voice conversations

When you start live voice, your microphone audio and conversation content are processed by OpenAI to produce spoken responses and transcripts. Narumu does not store audio recordings in its conversation database. Technical information such as request metadata, errors and usage counters may be processed by the hosting and AI services to operate and protect the service.

Saved and temporary conversations

You choose whether to save conversation history. When saving is enabled, Narumu stores encrypted text transcripts associated with your account. Saved transcripts expire after 30 days and are removed from the active database during subsequent requests. You can delete an individual conversation, all history or your Narumu account in the website.

Choosing a temporary conversation, or choosing not to save history, prevents Narumu from creating a saved conversation record. Live processing by the AI provider still occurs. Temporary mode is not a promise that service providers keep no operational data.

Sharing for review and improvement

Saved conversations are not automatically listed for the owner to review. You can explicitly share an individual saved conversation for review. Sharing lets the owner read that transcript to assess response quality. You can withdraw sharing or delete the conversation to remove it from the review list. The current prototype has no automatic model-training or training-export pipeline. Sharing for review does not authorize a future training use.

Service providers and security

Narumu uses Google for authentication, OpenAI for AI voice, and OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting and storage. This information page is hosted on Vercel. Provider processing and retention are governed by their applicable terms and policies. Deleting data from Narumu does not itself delete separate provider operational records or backups. Narumu uses encrypted transport and encrypts stored conversation content, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can stop a voice session, disable saving, make a conversation temporary, withdraw review sharing and delete your history or account. Narumu is for adults aged 18 and over. It is an AI support tool and does not provide professional therapy or emergency care. Please avoid sharing identifying information about other people that is not necessary for your conversation.
